I made this thank you card this evening for my aunt Janet. She and my uncle spent this past weekend at my parents home and she left a Christmas gift for me that my parents mailed down and it arrived today. She got me a sweet plaque about cats.

I did a sheet of polished stone with Ranger alcohol inks that I wanted to use so that is the background. I picked up the flowers at Michaels craft supply store. The stamp set, ribbon and paper are all SU.

I got a few packages today from all the crazy shopping I've done lately. My Janome sew mini arrived, some Neenah paper and the cutest stamps from Julie's Scrapbook Store At Your Door online shop. I can't wait to use them! They are all perfect for practicing coloring with my Copics. Julie even surprised me with a gift of a sentiment stamp that will go perfectly with all the images! That was so kind and generous of her!! Thank you Julie!
Christyne is in charge of posting challenges for our Ladies, Ink blog group and she just posted our first challege. We are to make a 3-D project before the end of July. It can be anything BUT a card. hmmm... this IS a challege for me and I've got my thinking cap on! I've got a few ideas but haven't decided on anything yet. I'm going to play with some of my stuff this weekend and see what I can come up with.
TGIF!! I love weekends with no plans - it means I can play with my stamps! The only thing that I have to do that is planned is Piggie has a check in with Dr. Bob to check on his stitches. He won't get them out for a couple more weeks but Dr. Bob wants to check the status of the ear. Deebo is also going along for a meet and greet with Dr. Bob and a check up. In other words, my man cats are not going to be happy with me tomorrow but my lady cats will hopefully give me some love.
We actually had a beautiful day here in New England finally!! We've gotten so much rain lately and it has been a weird weather summer so far. Today was sunny, and around 80 degrees with bright blue skies and white puffy clouds. I was inside at work most of the day but I'm hoping that tomorrow and Sunday are nice as well.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
